Welcome to Cara's Creations, your source for unique, contemporary jewelry handmade by Cara Jablon in Washington, D.C. Cara, a retired attorney, has been designing jewelry since 1999. Her jewelry has been displayed and sold in numerous juried shows in the Washington, D.C. area. Cara's necklaces range from lightweight multi-color designs that are excellent for traveling to complex, elegant spiral fresh-water pearl necklaces and crystal "projection" necklaces. The spiral necklaces are made by sewing each individual pearl or bead to a core using a backstitch method. Projection necklaces have from 75 to 90 individual wire wrapped projection units.
All necklaces have easy to use toggle clasps. Cara's collection also includes earrings, bracelets and stretch bracelets. She has a large collection of $6 stretch bracelets. Materials used in Cara's jewelry include fresh-water pearls, semi-precious stones, sterling silver, pewter, crystal, and glass.
On the last two necklace pages of the website are pictures of a number of multi-color crystal necklaces that are very useful as travel necklaces. These necklaces will match almost any outfit and are very lightweight.
Many of the pictured necklaces can be ordered in different lengths. Cara can also design a necklace, bracelet, or earrings to your specifications and can make metal-free lariats. Earrings can be ordered with wires, posts, or non-pierced backs. The pictured items represent only a small portion of the inventory of Cara's Creations. Cara will be happy to e-mail you pictures of additional items, upon request.
If you wish to order one of the pictured items or would like to discuss a custom order, please contact Cara at rcjablon@aol.com or 202-333-5332.
